A different Corinthia
Thia was enjoying her vacation to no ends, spending two weeks on R&R after getting shot to shit was so worth it, especially with where the agency had sent her. All of the eye candy on the beach was fantastic. She tilted her sunglasses down the bridge of her nose as another prime example of everything she wanted in a man, physically at least, walked past her and paused to look her up and down and lick his lips to throw a nod towards her. She slid the sunglasses back up and raised her book, enough ego to choke a horse on that one, no thanks. After about an extra half hour in the sun she was ready to head back to the hotel. As many men as she had watched and more had eyes glued to her as she sauntered back to the hotel. Her bikini left little to nothing to the imagination. She threw on the yoga pants and tank top that she had in her beach bag once she was inside the gym, and headed over to the mats. After a good stretch she headed to the treadmill, she spent a good thirty minutes on it without breaking a sweat, and then she headed over to the free weights. A couple monkeys pumping iron started to preen and show off for her, which she put a stop to quickly when she loaded up a bar bell and started to bench press 180 pounds. A few of the muscle monkeys slunk away with their tails between their legs, while even more were content to pursue harder by pushing themselves past their limits. She didn’t even look, when she was in the gym she was in the zone, and the music pounding through her ipod was all that she needed. After the benches and all the free weights, she moved to leg presses, the last thing she did then was pull ups on a straight bar. After she finished she got back onto the treadmill for some increment training, and finished stretching on the mats again. She grabbed her bag from the locker rooms and headed up to her room. She smiled as she rode the elevator up to the penthouse suite, god it was good to be an agent, excellent resorts when you got shot, and the ability to leave anyone in the dust that decided to go toe to toe with her.
She slung her bag onto her bed while she stripped and walked to the shower, her creamy skin had a light tan, that made her look like the cream with a hint of coffee, while her deep brown hair tumbled down her back in a riot of waves once free of the messy bun it was in. Once she was clean she wrapped herself in a towel while she tousled her hair with another towel. She grabbed her cell phone and dialed her boss while she went out onto the balcony and reclined in one of the chairs.
“Thia, why are you calling?”
“Nice to talk to you too Jess....”She rolled her eyes and stretched. “Mmmm I actually called to ask when my next check up is with that doc you sent me a few weeks ago.”
“Two weeks, why.” She could hear his attention sharpen.
“My shoulder is pulling, I have been sticking to my routine, I haven’t upped it past what he said I could do, but something isn’t feeling right. And aside from that I do want to know where my recovery is sitting and when I will be getting back to work.”
“You know, you are the best agent about being injured, Cross has called me six times in the past three days begging to come home and back on duty.”
“Why the hell would I do that Jess...you sent me to a resort, which your paying for, with so much eye candy that even I can’t chase all that tail, and are paying me to sit and drink and read and lay on a beach. Why in the fuck would I complain, if I ever do I am asking now, send me for a damn psych eval.”
Jess’s laughter filled the call. “Thats why I like you Thia.” His voice was filled with laughter. “I’ll send the doc out the day after tomorrow, anything else?”
“No...wait yes, yes there is...” She grinned wolfishly.
“Okay, what is it.”
“Get laid so you don’t fuckin’ kill Cross.”
Jess laughed again, “Good bye Thia, if you start to itch for something more to do, call and I will send you some research cases.”
“Sounds good I’ll let you know, C’ya Jess.” She hung up and checked her email and then got up and wandered back into her rooms, tucking her phone into her purse and then stretched again rubbing her left shoulder and started to get dressed. She looked around her room and then reached for a book but stopped half way through, her nails looked like hell. She grinned, all expenses paid by the government...She threw on a pair of jeans and a tank top she grabbed a light zip-hoodie and then looked in the mirror, what the hell she thought, the hair needed done too. She grabbed her purse and locked the door and then walked to the elevator, she went to the resort salon. “Hello.” The bleach blond receptionist on the phone popping her gum, obviously talking to a friend from the conversation held up a finger and ignored her. Thia raised an eyebrow, she was not someone you ignored...she leaned on the counter casually and then with a snap of her right hand reached over and yanked the phone out of the girls hand and hung up. “Manager ... Now...” she said it in her agent’s voice, the one that brooked no argument. The girl squared her shoulders and went for the phone again.
“You will just have to wait.” Blondie snapped her gum again.
Thia’s promise of patience evaporated and she swung around the desk and in seconds had Blondie face down on the desk her hands twisted behind her back painfully. “Once again, incase the bleach has fried your brain, I will be seeing a manager ... Now.” She let the girl go, and the second she did the little blond was scurrying off to find her manager while Thia calmly walked back to her side of the counter and cocked a hip while she waited. The blond came scurrying back in under a minute with an older woman with perfectly coifed hair who practically oozed dignity and refined tastes.
“Barb said you wanted to speak to the manager, miss...?”
“Corin Ketri, but please call me Cori. And yes, Barb here was on the phone with a friend, and quite frankly, she’s working, if its that slow she can yap on the phone with one of her friends, she shouldn’t be here. And on that note, if she had put her friend on hold and helped me immediately I wouldn’t care so much, but a paying customer being told to wait with a finger held up...not tolerable at a resort of this high of caliber.” Barb shrunk away from Thia and her manager.
“Oh I see...Barb, that was the second chance, your severance pay will be deposited next friday, leave.” The manager turned a gimlet eye on her and then turned back to Thia. “Thank you for your attention on the matter.” She ushered Barb away from behind the desk and then pulled the booking calendar towards her. “Now what can I do for you.”
“I want my hair done, and a full mani-pedi and acrylic gel overlays on my hands. For the hair I want a deep burgundy auburn and a tousled layered look, something like Catherine Zeta-Jones from Zoro type hair.”
The manager looked over her books made a few notes, and looked up. “Alright Miss Ketri, we can fit you in now, hair first alright, that way I can put you with my most accomplished stylist.” Thia just nodded and smiled her consent. “Lovely, and may I ask how you will be paying?”
“Put it on my pre paid all expenses account, Penthouse under Corinthia Ketri, code 56 73 985.”
The manager’s eyes said it all, big money, big tip, treat like royalty. “Of course miss Ketri.”
About three hours later Thia was walking out of the salon and walking back up to her room, she laughed at herself after she was back in her room and realized she had checked the entire room with her hand gliding over the blades on her hips and lower back. It was good to know that even vacationing she had not lost any of her edge. She decided that her day was to easy at that point and she decided to change back into working out clothes and stripped off her weapons, then with gloves tucked into the back of her yoga pants and headed down to the gym. After pretty much an identical work out to the one she had earlier she then put her gloves on started to work on a punching bag, she alternated between hitting and kicking, soon changing from the relatively clean fighting style to a rather dirty street version. She heard someone clear their throat behind her and she slowly straightened but did not turn around. “Can I help you...?”
“Yeah, I wondered if you wanted to spar.” The husky voice was familiar to her, in fact she was pretty sure that it was a team mate of hers.
“Sure,” She grinned and turned around smirking when she confirmed that it was indeed one of her utterly beautiful fellow agents. “Ready to get your ass kicked again Sean?” She shifted into a fight stance bouncing on the balls of her feet.
He groaned as he settled into fighting stance. “Of course its you...Damn Thia why did you change your hair, makes it difficult for men to develop even a shred of ego...” He rolled his shoulders and settled. “Though it looks amazing.”
She shrugged and rolled her shoulders, “Thanks Sean, but compliments will get you no where. And my left shoulder is still on R and R along with the backs of my ribs.”
Sean nodded his affirmative and crooked his fingers to her, they both slid into a beautiful fluid dance of punches and kicks circling each other with predatory grace. After a half hour of constant fluid movement the two had attracted a small crowd that was awed by the savage beauty of the dance they were watching. Thia’s watch beeped softly at the hour and she smiled at Sean before with a lightning snap of her leg she had swung down to sweep him off his feet and onto his back while she straightened. “You still don’t catch that one do you?”
Sean rolled his eyes and took her offered hand as he got up. “Seeing as I landed on my ass again I’d say obviously not.” He walked to his bag and tossed her a bottle of water as they both toweled off and sat down on the mats to stretch together and chat about life outside of the agency.

Blackened Blades
Another different story line...
Sin rose from her crouch her eyes not leaving the man who was a few meters in front of her. As she stood she slid her hands up and through her hair gathering the silky dark blonde mass into a messy bun to keep it out of the way and away from his hands. Next she shrugged her jacket off, a motion that the dark haired man with blue eyes that practically danced with challenge followed. Sin's eyes snapped fire and answer to the challenge without hesitation, and with the removal of her jacket it was apparent why, as she had knives and guns aplenty in holsters and sheathes on her curvy frame. They began to circle each other with smooth predatory grace that is a gift of warriors everywhere. Sin's hands were both sheathed in darkened steel claws that were not only beautiful on her slim hands but functional in the deadliest way, in her left hand she also held a wicked dagger that was made of the same metal as her claws. She rubbed the tips of her claws together with a small snicking sound and then stilled herself studying her opponent as he drew two blades, one short sword and one dagger. Their circle got tighter and they came closer together until they were barely 3 feet apart. With a sudden move from both they came together with a clash and scrape of steel, she blocked the sword with her dagger and twisted herself past his, bringing her claws down across his chest and spinning away her steps as light as a dancer's. His eyes widened in pain and he looked down to the four neat furrows on his chest that his heart's blood had begun to stain. His shock from pain and that the agile woman in front of him with steel claws for weapons had actually injured him snapped him into action mentally and physically, giving him the realization that this was an opponent he would have to take seriously. He slid easily back into form and once again they came together with the sounds of steel meeting steel, he blocked her claws and dagger turning them both aside and managing with strength over agility and aided with a long blade, to catch her shoulder with his blade and spill her cherry red blood over her pale skin. They stepped back and resumed circling each other both with blood drawn, they both looked for weakness and finding none resuming, this time a draw neither opponent drawing blood, though this engagement lasted longer than the previous. Both of them were beginning to sweat and were breathing a little heavier. This repeated on and on, alternating between who drew blood and who was able to avoid blades or claws. Both were pouring sweat and blood with breath coming in bursts when the fight turned from a stalemate, she slipped past his guard raking her claws down his chest again, but that slip had been calculated, and he took the hit to get inside her guard, he dropped his sword and flipped his dagger to his right hand, and hooking a leg around hers brought her to the ground with his free hand pinning her wrists and the dagger at her throat.
His voice rasped from the dry heat of the near desert they were in, and from pain, "Like it or not, Tamsin I caught you and you will be coming back to your responsibilities."
Sin bucked and struggled under him heedless of the razor edge held to her throat while she writhed under him trying to get leverage to throw him off her or to get her hands free. She gritted her teeth and growled her reply. "When the sun shines in Hell, and it's Sin now, I left my name when I lost the weaknesses that went with it." Her labored breathing roughened her silvery voice, though she gave up struggling after a few minutes of him holding her strong. "Why did you come after me, its been years..."
"Yes, and you did a fantastic job of disappearing for those years, as I have been after you for all of them." He tightened his grip on her wrists. "You will come back with me, that will not be in question."

More scribbles
Cori was leaning down bent slightly over her desk facing away from the door as Jess walked in, he stopped instantly, his breath catching, as she leaned against the desk further to grab something. Jess wished her skirt was a touch shorter so he could see her little lacy black thong again, he cleared his throat and stepped into the room, "What are you working on?"
"Schematics and designs." Her response was automatic though he had to hand it to her she was fast, it only took her a few seconds to straighten turn and lean her hips against the desk while she eyed the boxes in his arms, "Moving in are we?"
"Uh..yeah Mr. Rhyce told me I was sharing your office."
The way she narrowed her eyes was actually rather scary, and there was an undisguised venom in her voice when she spoke, "Yeah I'll just bet that ass loves the idea of pissing me off a little more." She turned around and went to the bench desk that was against the wall, she picked up a few stacks of paper and moved them to the floor next to her filing cabinet. "You can set up there, but gods forbit you touch anything because I will kill you if you fuck with my data or studies." She exited the room and walked down the hall her heels clicking viciously.
Jess began to set his stuff on the desk and unpack, he was glad he had only brought the nessisary things and nothing else. When Cori returned she had two office workers carrying a desk behind her and she walked to her desk and gave it a strong push that quite effectively moved it and created a space for the new desk. She also looked calmer by far, she ushered the office workers out and closed the door. "You now have a work space. Enjoy."
"You look a great deal calmer, what did you do?"
Cori sat down at her desk and leaned back crossing a leg over the other. "Something ill advised but that I can't be bothered to regret, I went and yelled at Rhyce, and once this project is done I am leaving and not coming back to this damn company." Jess only raised his eyebrows in response. "Oh trust me, in the next few weeks you will see why, why do you think you are here, TechSci is a high budget and did Rhyce strike you as the type to pay for the best or the cheapest? We no longer have any other contractors willing to work with Rhyce." She shook her head and put away what she had been working on, "So lets design some kitchens shall we?"
"Schematics and designs." Her response was automatic though he had to hand it to her she was fast, it only took her a few seconds to straighten turn and lean her hips against the desk while she eyed the boxes in his arms, "Moving in are we?"

In class scribbles
Cori gasped as she felt her right heel snap mid step, sending her head first into the office from the hallway. The papers and files she had been carrying went flying and fluttered around her making an even larger spectacle than she already had. Se clenched her eyes shut as she felt the breeze high on her thighs, 'how lovely..my skirt is up up round my waist too, way to add insult to injury', she tugged her skirt down quickly before getting to her knees and starting to gather her papers. As she looked up and around for her things her breath caught and she held in a groan, an unbelievably cute man was gathering up sheaves of paper, and he was most definitely a witness to her pantie choice today judging from the small smile curving his lips. She put her head down and continued gather and stacking papers. Entirely too soon there were no more to gather and a hand in her field of vision that went with a soft voice laced with laughter. "I think that's all of them, let me help you up." She looked up to meet his gaze as she took his hand and stood with his help, careful of her broken shoe. " What did you trip over by the way?"
"My high heel broke..." She put a hand against the wall and took off said offending footwear, with both heels dangling from her hand she straightened and then bent to pick up her papers, adding the ones he had collected to her pile, "Thank you." She lifted her papers and was about to escape to her office.
"No problem, um also do you happen to know when Corinthia Solinidias will be in?"
Cori bit back another groan, "Yes, why do you ask?"
"I am from TechSci Inc. to work with her on the new project 'smart homes'." He smiled earnestly.
She closed her eyes and muttered softly, "Of course you are..." she shook herself and regained her composure, "Well come with me then." She lead him to her office while she pondered her luck, before deciding if she thought about it any longer that she would probably need professional help. "So you are the project manager over at TechSci?" She made conversation as she opened her door and toed the jam into place to keep it open, she put her papers carefully on her desk and dropped her shoes onto the shoe shelf by her door disgustedly and then opened the blinds and the window.
"As of this morning, the previous manager was found to be doing a few less than legal things, I was in a different project that was near completion so they transferred me to this position and my assistant took over the old one, quite the pay raise and change in scenery for me." He looked around her office curiously, noting the art work that graced the walls, including quite a few pictures of tattoos, the large cherry wood desk that she was now standing behind with two computers, it was all together very modern, and looked more like it belonged in an art gallery or private home than the office he was now standing in. "So...Mrs. Solinidias will be back soon?" He wasn't sure what to make of the woman in front of him, her expression was cynical her clothes modern business casual, and her hair a tumble of controlled waves, slightly at odds with the tattoos gracing her legs and the lacy black thong he had caught a glimpse of when she had spilled into the reception office and her skirt had ended up around her waist.
Cori smiled and offered a hand, "Ms. Corinthia Solinidias, but as we will be working together for the foreseeable future, you may call me Cori like everyone else does."

Introduction
So I have started this blog as a place to put my thoughts down kind of journal-ish, and someplace to bitch about this that the other thing or whatnot. So I am a rather random crazy sometimes bitchy, most often somewhat normal-ish 21 year old Anthropology/English student in university. I enjoy occasionally being a contradiction but usually just settle for being confusing. I am everything from a pagan to a typical university student, to a sorority girl, to a complete Anthropology/history geek.
I hope that anyone who stumbles upon this enjoys my writing as occasionally some random writings may pop up, but for the most part, welcome to my thoughts.
